Fedora 12 Notes

Wow…Fedora 12 is causing quite a stir on the lists.  One of them is the lack of a configuration tool to enable focus follows mouse in the default Gnome desktop.  Currently, the solution is to install the “control-center-extra” package.  However, I’m betting $5 that in the future you’ll have to know what GConf bit to twirl.  Why is it I have to keep a list of GConf twirlage?

Because, as someone noted on the mailing list, you may use Gnome, but you aren’t one of Gnome’s users. I’m not either, apparently.

I’m becoming increasing aware that I’m not the target user for a lot of the stuff happening in linux-land. Of course, no focus follows mouse on my MacBook either.
